At Keepy we believe storing your things should be as easy as keeping them at home. We’ve been doing this since 2006 and today we have seven facilities across Málaga, the Costa del Sol and Seville. Each one has an open office with someone in it: that’s why, when you call, a person answers —and always the same one.

How we got here
Keepy was born in 2006 in Mijas Costa, when self storage was still an unknown sector in Spain. The idea was simple and hasn’t changed: anyone should be able to rent the space they need, for as long as they need it, with no small print.
For nine years we were just one facility. We learnt the trade in Mijas —how to lay out a warehouse, which sizes people really ask for, how much it matters to have someone in the office— before opening our second facility, in Málaga city, in 2015. Only once we knew the model worked did we start replicating it with franchisees.

The first two are our own facilities. The next five are run by franchisees who work with our storage units, our system and our way of looking after people: large, well-connected warehouses with parking and an open office with staff in it. Around 1,500 m² on average, and we’ve extended every one since it opened.
Along the way we learnt what really matters: behind every storage unit there’s a story —a move, a renovation, a growing business, a change of life— and whoever calls wants to be understood, not passed on to a department.

Four things you won’t find at most storage facilities
What sets us apart isn’t what we say, it’s how the business is built.

We make our own storage units
We don’t buy ready-made modules: we design and manufacture them ourselves, and we decide how each warehouse is laid out. That lets us offer sizes others don’t —from 1 m²— and keep prices tight.

The same standard at all seven
Two facilities are our own and five are run by franchisees, but the rules don’t change from one place to another: same terms, same contract, same access hours and the same insurance included.

A person looks after you, and always the same one
When you call, you don’t get a customer service line that changes hands: your facility’s office answers, and you’ll speak to whoever looked after you on day one.

We take in your deliveries and you decide who gets in
We sign for your parcels and online orders when you’re not around, and let you know. And you put in writing who else can access your storage unit, so your courier or your employee can collect without you having to be there.

The same at all seven facilities
Wherever you rent, the terms are the same at every facility, and they’re in the contract.
- Access 365 days a year, from 7am to 10pmWith your personal coded card. Only you have the key to the padlock on your door.
- Insurance included, at no extra cost€500 per m², up to €3,000 per storage unit, as part of the contract. The policy is with Occident (formerly Catalana Occidente).
- No long-term commitmentThe minimum stay is one month, and you can cancel with 15 days’ notice by phone, WhatsApp, email or at the office.
- Change size whenever you needLet us know, we’ll find the size you need and you move. No penalty.
- Free private parkingWith trolleys, hand trucks and pallet trucks to take your things right to the door of your unit.
- The price we quote is the price you payVAT, insurance, parking and access, all included in the monthly fee. 5% off when you pay 6 months and 10% off when you pay 12.

Behind Keepy there are people, not a switchboard
Every facility has an open office with someone in it. It’s not a customer service number or a form that ends up in a shared inbox: when you call your facility, the person who runs it answers, and it’s the same person who looked after you on day one.
That person knows which units are free today, can show them to you this very afternoon and will let you know when the size you were after becomes available.
It’s how we’ve worked since 2006, and it’s why many of our customers come to us on someone else’s recommendation.
We’re still a family business. The brand, the network and the capital belong to the Alcalá family —Susana, Francisco and Sergio— and each facility has a small team that runs it from start to finish.
